Who we are

Groundwork is an Australian web business operated by Justin Sams trading as Groundwork Sites (ABN 17 996 577 511), based in Epping, Sydney. This policy covers this website and the enquiry forms on it. Questions about it go to sales@groundworksites.com.au.

What we collect

When you fill in our enquiry or contact forms, we collect what you type: your name, phone number, email, business name, ABN, service area, and whatever you tell us about your website plans. That's it — no hidden extras.

We don't run advertising trackers or marketing cookies, and we don't buy or scrape data about you from anywhere else.

Why we collect it

One reason: so we can get back to you, write your proposal, and — if you go ahead — build your website and set up accounts in your name, which is the whole point of Groundwork.

Where it lives

Form submissions are stored in a secure, access-controlled database (Supabase) and delivered to our business email (via Resend). The website itself is hosted on Vercel. Like most modern hosting, these providers may store data on servers outside Australia; each is a major platform with its own strong security and privacy commitments.

We keep enquiry details while we're talking or working together, and for a reasonable period afterwards for records and warranty support. Credentials created during your build are stored in an encrypted password manager and handed over to you at launch.

What we'll never do

We will never sell your information, share it with marketing or lead-generation platforms, or use it for anything beyond talking to you about your website. That would be a strange look for a business whose entire pitch is that you should own your own stuff.

Your choices

Want to know what we hold about you, have it corrected, or have it deleted? Email sales@groundworksites.com.au and it's done. If you believe we've mishandled your information, tell us first and we'll sort it — and you can always contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (oaic.gov.au).

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version goes up on this page with a new date. Last updated: 16 September 2026.
