GST

Groundwork isn't registered for GST, so no GST is charged on anything and no GST is shown on your invoice. The price you agree to is the price you pay.

If Groundwork becomes registered for GST later, any quote already given to you is honoured at the price you were given.

Quotes and what they're based on

Every job gets a fixed price in writing before work begins. The number on the proposal is the number on the invoice.

A written quote is valid for 30 days.

Package prices cover a standard build. Unusual scope — a shop, a members area, an integration we haven't seen before — gets confirmed on a short call, and the fixed price is the one confirmed after that call.

Anything outside the agreed scope is quoted separately, in writing, before any work starts. No surprise line items, ever.

Payment

A 50% deposit starts the build; the balance is due at handover, before credentials are transferred. Nothing is ever charged through this website — invoices come to you directly.

Every build can instead be split over three months, interest free: the first payment on signing, then two monthly payments. There's no credit check and no finance company involved.

If a payment plan falls more than 14 days behind, work pauses until it's back on track. Nothing is deleted and nothing is repossessed — the build just waits. If a plan is abandoned entirely, work completed to that point is invoiced and ownership transfers only on final payment.

Monthly plans are month-to-month with no minimum term. Cancel any time with 14 days' notice; your website stays yours.

Revisions

Two rounds of revisions are included in every build. A round means you send your changes in one go and we work through them.

That's deliberately generous for a fixed-price build, and it's enough for almost everyone. Further rounds, or a change of direction after the design is signed off, are quoted before any work starts.

What we need from you, and when

The 14-day build clock starts when you send your details, photos and content, not when you pay. Timelines pause while we're waiting on you.

If content hasn't arrived within 30 days of us asking, the build pauses and may need to be requoted — costs and availability change, and a half-finished site helps nobody.

Domain and hosting

Your domain is registered in your name, with your details, from day one. You pay the registrar directly at their normal price — usually around $20 a year — and we never mark it up.

Hosting sits in your own account too, billed directly to you by the provider at their normal price — usually a few dollars a month. We set it up and hand it over; we never mark it up or pay it on your behalf.

What's not included

Logo design, copywriting beyond the standard build, and photography aren't included in the build price. Photography is available as a $350 add-on, and we're happy to quote the others.

Paid advertising costs (Google Ads spend) are separate, set by you, and paid by you directly to Google.

The 12-month warranty

For 12 months from launch, if something we built breaks, we fix it. Free, no monthly fee, no per-incident invoice.

Where the line sits: a fix is something that stopped working — a quote form that isn't sending, a page that won't load, a booking that didn't come through. New pages, new features and content rewrites are new work, and we'll quote those like any other job.

We're not responsible for faults caused by third-party outages, changes you or someone else makes to the site, or services you cancel.

The six-month ROI guarantee

If six months after your site goes live it hasn't brought in enough work to cover what you paid us, we keep working on it at no extra charge until it has. We measure it off your own job records, together.

What we need from you for it to apply: the enquiries the site sends you actually get answered, and your Google Business Profile stays claimed and live. We can't win you work you don't ring back.

What you own

Every account we create — domain, hosting, code, database — is registered in your name from day one. All credentials are handed over at launch and you're walked through changing every password.

Full ownership of the finished website, including the code, transfers to you on final payment.

The boring-but-necessary bit

We build carefully and stand behind our work, but our liability for any claim is capped at the fees you've paid us for the job in question. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under Australian Consumer Law.

These terms are a summary of how we work. The signed proposal for your job is the final word — if anything here conflicts with it, the signed proposal wins.
