What should a tradie website actually cost?
Most quotes are plucked out of the air. This one is arithmetic: the suburbs you work, times the services you offer, equals the pages that turn up in Google — and we charge by the page.
The ones you'd actually drive to. Count the suburb names, not the council areas.
Switchboard upgrades, hot water, blocked drains, deck builds — whatever a customer would search for by name.
The full tradie site, owned by you. Page prices are the same on all three.
Why the page count matters
Google doesn’t rank “a website”. It ranks pages. A page that says “Emergency electrician, Carlingford” is what turns up when someone in Carlingford types that at 9pm. One page covering everything, everywhere, ranks for nothing. That’s why the page count matters — and why we charge by the page instead of guessing at a package.

No GST — Groundwork isn't registered for GST, so the price you see is the price you pay. Full terms.
Agencies quote $5,000–$12,000 for a site this size. We’re not doing less work — we’re just not charging agency rates for it.

What this assumes
- The first five pages are the base build: home, about, contact, quote request and reviews.
- A service page is one service in one suburb — that's the page that ranks for “[service] [suburb]”.
- Pages 6–20 are $75 each. From page 21 they drop to $50 each.
- Page prices are the same on every build. Job Machine adds $600 for the job board; Connected is the same base plus the integration.
- No GST — Groundwork isn't registered for GST, so the price you see is the price you pay.
- Price is fixed in writing before any work starts, and can be split over 3 months interest free.
- Unusual scope gets confirmed on a short call — the fixed price is what's confirmed after it.
- Photography, if you want it, is a $350 add-on and isn't counted above.
